Monitoring & Compliance

ACO Policies and Procedures and More

As a government consulting firm servicing the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Bland approaches compliance from the standpoint of simplicity and efficiency. We help CMS to develop and implement care monitoring and reporting procedures across the entire care system — from patient admission through procedures and after-care. Helping CMS achieve its core mission of better care at reduced cost is always top-of-mind for our team.

Our experience with the Comprehensive Primary Care (CPC) Initiative has included reviews of hundreds of practices to ensure that program funds are spent in compliance with the program aims and objectives. We have also monitored compliance with terms and conditions when new payment and delivery initiatives are introduced by CMS — such as ACOs.

Our most recent contract involves developing and implementing monitoring and reporting procedures for the Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement (CJR) model with our teaming partner. This contract involves monitoring program compliance for Medicare beneficiaries and the hundreds of participant primary care and rehabilitative facilities serving them across the U.S.

In addition to supporting simplicity and efficiency for providers and practices responsible for quality care outcomes, Bland is committed to a collaborative process with our teaming partners. We share a common goal of ensuring that health care is coordinated across providers to reduce the potential for complications and extended need for benefits. The best ideas come from an experienced cross-disciplinary team, and we are proud to support CMS in continued health care policy and payment model innovation.
